Sedum spurium ‘Red Carpet’ – Vivid Groundcover for Dry Spots
‘Red Carpet’ Sedum offers a lush, spreading carpet of deep red foliage that intensifies in cooler weather. This hardy, low-growing succulent is perfect for covering sunny slopes, rock gardens, or between stepping stones.
In summer, it bursts with small, vibrant red-pink star-shaped flowers, adding contrast and charm. ‘Red Carpet’ is drought-tolerant, deer-resistant, and requires minimal care—an excellent choice for xeriscaping and low-maintenance landscapes.
- ❤️ Deep red foliage turns more intense in cooler weather
- Bright red-pink summer blooms
- Spreads densely and suppresses weeds
- ☀️ Loves full sun and dry soil
- ️ Deer-resistant and tough in poor soils
Design Tip: Use it to edge sunny pathways, fill rock garden gaps, or cover small slopes for erosion control with color.
