Soul Mate™ Reblooming Hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Hokomasoma’ USPPAF, CPBRAF) brings season-long color to small gardens with full mophead blooms that return again and again from late spring through fall. In neutral soil, flowers open in clear pink tones; in more acidic soil, they deepen to mauve or blue-lavender. This compact bigleaf hydrangea matures at just 2 to 3 feet tall and wide, making it easy to squeeze into small spaces. In our own trial beds, it has proven dependable for repeat bloom, even after light winter dieback.rSoul Mate™ is deciduous, with fresh green foliage that frames each round flower head. Like other Hydrangea macrophylla types, it flowers on both old and new growth, accounting for its rebloom. It is heat tolerant for a bigleaf hydrangea and hardy in Zones 5 through 9. Keep the root zone consistently moist, especially during summer heat, but avoid saturated soil.
