This unusual and rare succulent is a perennial plant native to South Africa. Sometimes this plant is called a candlestick plant and the botanical name is Senecio stapeliiformis. The stems of the Pickle Plant are fleshy and pencil-like with silvery-green striations. It has a distinctive, dark-green pickle pattern and soft spines along the sides.
