Rodgersia pinnata ‘Elegans’
Add bold texture and soft color to shaded gardens with Rodgersia pinnata ‘Elegans’. This dramatic perennial forms a broad mound of long, glossy, dark green leaves with bronze tints and sharply serrated edges, giving it strong presence even when not in bloom.
In summer, large Astilbe-like flower clusters rise above the foliage in rose-cream tones. The blooms are lightly scented and add a soft, elegant contrast to the plant’s bold foliage. As the season changes, ‘Elegans’ also offers attractive fall color.
This variety grows best in part shade with fertile, consistently moist soil. It makes a beautiful choice for woodland gardens, shaded borders, and focal points in moist perennial beds.
