You and Me Together Astilbe

Feathery white flowers have a fuzzy texture and bloom from spring into summer, making the You and Me Together® Astilbe a welcome addition to an outdoor space. The upright flowers are broad near the bottom and narrow at the top. The Astilbe chinensis You and Me Together® boasts more blooms than other Astilbe varieties for a showy impact. Broad green leaves anchor the white flowers and provide color throughout the summer.rThe white flower plumes add texture to a mixed bed and pair well with practically any garden design. Create a stunning mass planting by grouping several Astilbe together. This clump-forming plant will gradually spread and fill in a bed or a container; plant it as a ‘thriller’. Butterflies enjoy the flowers, and deer leave the plant alone. Grow You and Me Together® Astilbe in zones 3 through 8.rYou and Me Together® Astilbe CarerPlant You and Me Together® Astilbe in full sun to part shade. A site with morning sun and afternoon shade is ideal. This perennial prefers slightly acidic soil that is moist and well drained to support prolific blooming. Deeply water the plant weekly when the top layer of the soil is dry. Increase watering frequency during a dry spell. Apply a thick layer of organic mulch to support growth and retain moisture.rDivide plants in the spring every few years as the Astilbe spreads. Leave the faded growth in place throughout the winter and remove it in late spring before new growth emerges. Prune the plant after the flowers fade to maintain a tidy look and possibly encourage another flush of flowers.rYou and Me Together® Astilbe SpacingrThe You and Me Together® Astilbe reaches 18 to 24 inches tall and spreads 18 inches wide.
