Growing Tips: Plant in well-drained soil and keep the soil evenly moist, especially during dry periods. This medium-growing ornamental grass benefits from a slow-release, medium-rate fertilizer applied in spring. Be mindful of potential pests like spider mites, rust, leaf spot, and aphids. While ‘Northwind’ doesn’t require special overwintering care, avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. If you need to cut back the plant, do so early in the growing season to allow time for new growth to mature.
