(Beardtongue) Looking to add height to your perennial beds? Penstemon ‘Midnight Masquerade’ has deep purplish black foliage that stands 36-40 inches tall and spreads 28-32 inches wide. ‘Midnight Masquerade’ features beautiful foliage all season long, enjoy the deepest, darkest color foliage in the full sun. Midsummer, lavender bell shaped flowers with white insides emerge nicely nestled above the contrasting dark foliage. The dense habit, and better flower coverage are superior to older Penstemon varieties on the market. ‘Midnight Masquerade’ is a bee friendly flower that is also a treat for the hummingbirds and butterflies in your garden. This native, drought tolerant perennial is easy to grow and care for. Hardy in zones 3-8, ‘Midnight Masquerade’ makes a great border plant as well as a beautiful garden back drop when planted in mass. Penstemon ‘Midnight Masquerade’ is a Proven Winners® Perennial.
