(Lambs Ear) Stachys ‘Hummelo’ has sturdy rosy-lavender spikes that sit above the foliage, and makes an impressive display in midsummer. Unlike the more common types of Stachys, which have soft silvery foliage, ‘Hummelo’ has glossy dark green foliage which remains attractive all season. Plant in a well drained area, with full to part sun. ‘Hummelo’ grows approximately 18 inches tall and wide, and is rabbit and deer resistant. Great garden uses include containers, borders, mass plantings, and cut flowers. Besides being very easy to grow, ‘Hummelo’ is a versatile perennial and would be an impressive companion to just about anything in your garden.
