Leatherwood Fern
Fern Dryopteris marginalis Leatherwood
Leatherwood Fern, also known as the Marginal Wood Fern, is a hardy, evergreen fern native to North America. It features arching, leathery fronds with a rich green color and finely serrated edges, growing up to 2–3 feet tall. This fern thrives in shady, woodland environments with moist, well-draining soil and is perfect for adding lush texture to shaded gardens or naturalized areas. Its resilient nature makes it low-maintenance and deer-resistant, providing year-round interest and an elegant backdrop for companion plants.
