Ajuga tenorei ‘Valfredda’

Cuter than the proverbial button! From Italy’s Valfredda Nursery comes this darling little ajuga that is completely different from anything we have seen. The tiny mounds of narrow, chocolate-colored foliage make a unique background for golds and blues. Ajuga tenorei is a dramatic departure from what you know as ajuga…I think you will find this to be a nice addition to the woodland garden. In early spring, the tiny foliage is topped with matching tiny spikes of dazzling, dark blue-lavender flowers.
